a way of reading and understanding written texts faster than normal, often using particular techniques (= methods) that can be learned
Speed reading is useful in research work, but it is only speed reading when the comprehension level is at least as good as that of a normal reader. 速读在研究工作中很有用，但只有当理解水平至少达到正常读者的水平时，才算是速读。
